Want to Help?

The Boys & Girls Club of Pleasants County thrives on the help of volunteers and donors just like you.  The Boys & Girls Club of Pleasants County offers many opportunities for volunteers in the afterschool program at Pleasants County Middle School, in the Teen Center at the Jim Spence Center, or during the summer day program at the Jim Spence Center.  Volunteers can help with activities in sports and recreation, arts and crafts, computer technology, or general programs.  They also can help with office work, fundraising, and service projects.  Volunteers also can become homework helpers in a variety of academic areas or tutors who provide additional instruction in specific subjects.  Finally, a volunteer can become a mentor who works one-on-one with a Club member, providing wisdom and guidance for growth.

Area residents also provide support for these important youth programs through donations to the annual Back-A-Kid campaign.  All monies raised during the campaign help provide programs for area youth, ages 6-18, in numerous activities, competitions and opportunities for young people to learn, grow and explore.  By investing in our youth through a campaign donation, residents are investing in the future of our community.
