Project Learn Project Learn, an educational enhancement philosophy, reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through "high-yield" learning activities at the Club. Research shows that fun academically beneficial activities increase academic performance. These activities include leisure reading, writing activities, tutoring assistance, and cognitive-based game play with titles like Scrabble. Project Learn emphasizes collaborations between Club staff, parents, and school personnel. Studies have shown that Project Learn has boosted the academic performance of Club members. CoreTech CoreTech encourages B&GC youth development professionals (all five core program areas) to utilize computers and state-of-the-art software for all programs offered by Boys & Girls Clubs. CoreTech is a collection of activities designed to be conducted by technology center directors and all Club staff, using the tools of the tech center. Activities range from researching poems online and writing an original piece in Microsoft Word to creating a “How To” on creative subjects in Microsoft PowerPoint. CoreTech is a fresh approach to the subjects that have always been important in Boys & Girls Clubs.
